The preview for The Tomorrow War shows a group of time-traveling soldiers arriving on a soccer field, in the middle of a game, and informing the world’s population that they are fighting a war 30 years in the future and that their “enemy is not human.” Pratt, who plays a veteran-turned-teacher named Dan Forester, is among those who are recruited to help them fight this war.
The Tomorrow War trailer goes on to show Pratt’s Forester arriving at a secret facility and getting a machine cuffed to his arm, which is supposed to help him travel between timelines. The troops will have 11 months to win this war, or else “all human beings will be wiped from the face of the Earth." The film should provide fans a lot of action, with the trailer offering ample amounts of gunfire, explosions, and helicopters falling from the sky. In the end, the action-packed trailer also offers viewers a glimpse of the alien invaders that the humans will be fighting.
The aliens in The Tomorrow War are a far cry from those Pratt has encountered in the Guardians of the Galaxy films. However, he seems more than ready for the task of protecting Earth.
