A typical session can include a maximum of 64 players across Chivalry 2’s many unique maps and in modes that split the player base into two teams consisting of up to 32 players each. Naturally, it’s easier to coordinate and strategize with friends than strangers, which means it’s important to know the maximum party size so that friends can plan accordingly.

The max party size in Chivalry 2 is 4 players, so fans can invite up to 3 of their friends to join their party, which means that there can be a player in the party for every class in Chivalry 2. The party will then be assigned the same server for their game sessions. Additional friends can attempt to join the same server simultaneously, but there’s no guarantee that they’ll get a spot - they could be assigned a different server altogether.
Fortunately, according to the Chivalry 2 update roadmap preview from Torn Banner Studios, the developer plans to include an increase to party size limits in a future patch. Unfortunately, the roadmap doesn’t specify which patch will include the increase, so fans with more than 3 friends will have to settle for the workaround for now.
Chivalry 2 is a brutal hack-and-slash game, and it’s not uncommon for the battles to become frantic, so it’s helpful for players to have a few friends at their flank. Fans are encouraged to remain attentive for new updates so that they’re ready to invite more friends once the max party size is increased. Additionally, each party member should consider the pro tips for Chivalry 2’s combat as well so that they’re better prepared to operate as a cohesive team.
Chivalry 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
